The Estate

Facilities

With its unique combination of tradition and innovation, Château Lagarosse stands apart, choosing the best time-honored and contemporary techniques to ensure that every glass contains the best that its vineyards have to offer. Its winemaking facilities are among the most modern in the region, and meticulous care is taken at every step to protect the flavor and integrity of the grapes, down to the last detail. Wines are given sufficient time to mature in highest quality French oak barrels made of old-growth trees taken from the renowned Tronçais forest. Painstaking barrel selection ensures that Château Lagarosse wines express their personality to the fullest. The flagship Château Lagarosse Cuvée Princesse is aged in special barrels made from century-old chêne colbert oak trees for a premium finish.

Winemaking

Using state-of-the-art facilities, Château Lagarosse adheres to a meticulous process that maximizes the advantages of its outstanding terroir in order to craft a consistently high quality wine that best expresses the Bordeaux tradition. Moreover, the vineyard team benefits from the invaluable assistance of world-renowned consultant Michel Rolland and his team.

Today, he serves as a consultant to a prestigious roster of leading winemakers in 13 countries, and is involved in high-profile joint ventures in South Africa, Argentina, and Spain. Mr. Rolland, a steadfast advocate of using technology to enhance quality, is personally responsible for influencing wine styles around the world. With his help, Château Lagarosse extracts the very best from its vineyards year after year.
